Pastor Dave Waldo was appointed to serve as First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa, NY's Senior Pastor in 2018. Prior to that, he served as the Lead Pastor of Greenfield Baptist Church in Greenfield, PA.

The attributes that best describe Pastor Dave as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa, NY where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ.  Pastor Dave takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.

He graduated from Calvin College with a BA in Sociology and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity.

Pastor Dave has been happily married for 36 years to his wife, Barb. They have four adult daughters and a grandson.

Darryl Drew was appointed to serve as First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa, NY's  Minister of Music  in 2008. Prior to that, he served as Minister of of Music of  Faith Baptist Church in Rexford, NY 1976-1997 and several other ministries since 1957.

The attributes that best describe  Darryl are is love of Jesus and music and his unwavering talent to serve God with his talents on organ and piano, choir directing, and guiding others thru music to worship our Lord.   

He graduated from Crane School of Music at State University of New York at Potsdam in 1964 with a B.S. in Music Education and a M. S in Music Education in 1968.   He retired from public school music teaching in the Capital District after teaching K-12 Choral and General Music for over 30 years.  

Darryl has been happily married for 60 years to his wife, Rita. They have  two children who are also musically talented.  

Janice Nolan joined the staff at First Baptist Church  as Administrative Assistant in 2019. Prior to that she retired from General Electric in 2003 where she worked in the graphic design program.  That experience made her FBC position easy which involves general office routine including requests from Pastor Dave and our congregation; publishing the weekly bulletin and monthly Messenger; updating Mail Chimp weekly and sending it out to the congregation; and preparing and uploading the weekly Sunday morning PowerPoint. 

She was widowed in 2018 from her loving husband, Bob, after being married  45 years.  She has two children, Dara and Doug.
